Growing Kids Gods Way!

Imagine an environment where kids not only hear about Jesus but are encouraged to make Him their “forever friend” where He is with them in ALL life’s journey.
The Bible comes alive in kid-friendly age appropriate settings as they not only listen but are actively involved together with their peers.

Nursery – 0 to 18 months

Quality care is given in an adult/child ratio to ensure personalized attention to your little ones while you take part of the Sunday morning and evening services.

First Look - 18 months to 2 years of age

Come on out and learn more about Jesus & the Bible in an atmosphere that is specific for their developing minds!

Preschool – 3 to 5  years of age

Sunday morning and evening, children participate in kids’ worship , play centres , crafts and Bible lessons – all creatively put together for little ones to learn about and experience Jesus.

If your child is going into Grade 1 (as of Sept 2010), we will be having a special service this Sunday, September 5th.  We will be having a graduation ceremony for them down in the preschool area, and then we will bring them upstairs to the upper hall to introduce them to the older kids.  Parents please note: you will sign in your child in preschool, but then pick them up from the upper hall upstairs.  From then on, you will sign in your child at 10:00 am in the upper hall.

FAITHkids Church – Grade 1 to 5

Live worship, prayer, Biblical messages, and FUN - who could ask for more?  This Sunday, September 5th, come on out and learn more about Respect - our new virtue for the month!

Sunday Nights

There will be no evening service this Sunday, September 5th, due to the long weekend.  Enjoy spending time with your family!

September 12th we will be having our outdoor service & corn roast.  There will not be any specific activity for kids, but it will be a great time to spend with your family! Hope to see you there!

September 19th we will be starting our Christmas music!  Come on out and learn the songs that we'll be performing for our parents & church congregation in December!

Wednesday Nights - Hands-On Bible Max - Gr 1 to 5

Starting September 22nd, we will be resuming our mid-week Bible Study.  For those of you in grade 1 to 5, come on out and learn more about the Word of God!  It's all hands-on too, so you will NOT want to miss this!  Hands-On Bible Max will run from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm downstairs in the old 2-year-old room.  Hope to see you all there!  Don't forget to BRING YOUR BIBLES!!!  If you want to purchase a Bible to go along with the curriculum, please visit the following site and you can purchase your Hands-On Bible Max Bible (not mandatory): http://store.grouppublishing.com/OA_HTML/gpCCtpSctDspRte.jsp?section=10887

Junior High Ministry (Grades 6-7-8)

theUprising is a program exclusively for students in Grades 6, 7 and 8. It’s designed from the ground up to be a relevant and exciting community for junior high students to explore what it means to be a human being, as we tackle the big questions of life, faith and personhood.

And there’s slime. (Well, sometimes anyways). We believe in pushing the limits in the fun department, so you can always expect to see crazy events like “The Great Pirate Treasure Hunt” (we buried about 50 lbs of candy on our church property, and gave students some clues and a shovel…), as well as “SlimeWars”, offsite trips to Canada’s Wonderland, and overnight events like MOMENTUM: Junior High Convention… we do these in addition to our weekly program which is Wednesday Nights at 7pm.

For more information, please visit the official Uprising website at www.uprising678.com

KALOS

live the change...

"KALOS" is a word that implies concepts of goodness and beauty - the same kinds of words that God himself used to describe all that he had made: animals and atoms, people and things.
This means that God's creation is intrinsically valuable... yet that truth is lost in our consumer-oriented culture - creating a world of hostility for and often hopelessness for teens.

The only response we can think of is to begin to live the change... to live a whole new way of life, a way of life that allows that same Christ to live through us.

What does it look like?
- Weekly gatherings devoted to building an authentic community of love, hope and growth
- An active presence in our community, serving the poor, cleaning up neighbourhoods and loving the marginalized
- A global conscience, with yearly trips and large initiatives designed to make a difference in our world, and the whole worl

WIN - Widows Information Network

E-mail Print PDF

The WIN program was formed to provide Widows in the Welland, Ontario area with the information and support necessary to more easily cope with the complex issues surrounding their new status.

This program was designed by a recent widow overwhelmed with the amount of documents needing attention during a  tremendously difficult time of loss and grieving. The program objective is that as widows of all ages and all walks of life come together, learn and network, they will go from a devastated, negative position to feeling capable and supported - empowered to prevail and go forward with their lives - with confidence.

Monthly sessions on a wide variety of pertinent topics such as : Finance, Legal Responsibilities, Health, Personal Safety, Family Dynamic, Home Repair Basics, Real Estate and Travel Opportunities will be presented by female professionals in each field.

Bereavement Sessions will be made available for those who wish them (on a separate, weekly basis).

WIN is being offered as a community outreach of Faith Tabernacle but it is not necessary to be a Christian to attend this program.  Widows from all faiths and cultures are welcome to attend.

WIN will take place on the first Tuesday of each month at Faith Tabernacle (South Pelham Road, Welland) - in their Café (coffee and tea will be provided). There will be no charge for the monthly sessions - the basic program. ( There may be a charge for the separate Bereavement Sessions for professional counsellors’ fees.
